If I Had to Date a Girl…

It would be Megan Fox.  Just read this month’s GQ, which I think I might buy.  She’s so awesome, I sorta look up to her, if I looked up to anyone.  I guess she’s the female equivilent to Gaspard in my book.  I really agreed with her when she was talking about people just having the ability to fall in love with other people.  I met this guy here at UofI and he’s gay, but he asked me out.  I was like what!?! Dude, you like guys, but to him it was really ME he liked, ME the person.  So I totally agree, and I could be more than friends with Megan Fox.  Not that I’m pulling a Lindsay Lohan here, well Lindsay’s girlfriend isn’t even hott.  At least Megan’s attractive.  I couldn’t date a butch girl.  What is the point of that?  I could just date a guy then.

But, I digress.  Megan Fox is more than… well a fox, and I know celebs say it all the time, but she’s serious about acting.  I wish her good luck.  She has some heck of a head on her shoulders, a good one.

Oh, and one last thing.  Question:  What are bodysuits for? Why would I buy one?  I mean they look like one piece bathing suits?  So what in the hell are they for if I’m not gonna swim in them?

Daisies…My New Favorite Thing

I love flowers, peonies are my favorites and daisies will never be. However, Pushing Daisies is my new favorite TV show. I love the fairy tale-esque-ness of the narration, and Lee Pace is so tall and absolutely adorable. Kristen Chenoweth’s voice is so unique I love to hear her talk, and Anna Friel’s clothes for her character “Chuck” are to die for. The story is so sweet, but not unbearably sweet. I actually love it that Chuck and Ned cannot touch, it adds to the romance, it makes it sweeter somehow. Maybe I’m biased. I hate being touched sometimes even by those I love, but I have my own reasons; and I don’t think they have anything to do with why their not touching adds to the romance of the story. I think it has more to do with wanting what you cannot have and also being able to keep the childlike purity and innocence of their relationship. Chuck and Ned are childhood sweethearts and I’m sure the fact they are only able to kiss through plastic wrap helps to parallel their relationship when they were children.

Well if you’re confused Pushing Daisies is about a pie-maker named Ned, who has this ability to bring dead things, people, animals, whatever to life by simply touching them…once. If he touches them again, then the item dies, and is dead permanently. Also if he lets something live (that he has brought back to life) for more than 60 seconds then something or someone else similar has to die in its place. For example, he brought Chuck (real name Charlotte Charles, his childhood sweetheart) back to life (hence why he cannot touch her again, so they kiss through plastic wrap) and he let her live, so a man in the next room of the funeral home died in her place.

Ned, his business partner Emerson, and now the newly living Chuck use Ned’s ability to solve unexplained deaths and collect the reward money. This money helps Ned run his primary business as a pie-maker, and Emerson just enjoys money. Overall this is a super wonderful series, and I enjoy it so much I re-watch episodes online…I hardly ever re-watch any show, unless its been years. I think everybody should watch it, cuz it needs to stay. Its so great.
